Anj Levy has always believed in the power of transformation, whether it’s through advocacy, healing, or a really great outfit. Before she started The Boheme Butterfly, Anj spent years as a domestic violence attorney and community organizer, standing beside women as they reclaimed their lives.
Today, she brings that same devotion to her boutique, blending her passion for social justice with a lifelong love of sustainable fashion.
Retail runs deep in her story and Anj has always found meaning in the way people connect through thoughtful curation. But the true spark for Boheme Butterfly came from a tender moment after her mother’s passing. When Anj and her family gathered to explore her mother’s vintage wardrobe, among the pieces were not just her mother’s clothes, but heirlooms passed down from Anj’s grandmother.
Each item held memories, laughter, and love passed through generations. What began as a goodbye became a journey of rediscovery through fabric and time. It was there Anj realized that clothing could be more than something we wear. It it's a bridge between women, stories, and new beginnings.
